Thursday dinners are a cherished part of the SCSS social calendar, bringing together participants, Support Workers, family, and friends for a night of connection, laughter, and great food.
SCSS owners, Danny and Britt, along with many dedicated staff, regularly attend, staying engaged with participants and reinforcing the importance of social interaction and community involvement.
Each week, we visit a different local restaurant or club around Cooroy and Boreen Point, giving everyone the opportunity to explore new cuisines and enjoy fresh experiences. On the last Thursday of each month, we switch things up and host the dinner at The SCSS Farm, adding a adding a cozy, community feel to the gathering.
The excitement starts early in the week as participants eagerly discuss where to go and what food to try next. These dinners are a highlight of the week, not just for the laughter, but just as importantly for the benefits to participant capacity building, morale boosting, social connections and shared experiences.
