SCSS takes to the Seas – Our Incredible 3-Night Cruise!
The highlight of our year so far has undoubtedly been our three-night cruise aboard the P&O Encounter – an experience that was truly unforgettable for both our participants and support workers alike! All Aboard!
The adventure began with the monumental task of getting all 42 of us safely aboard the ship – no small feat! But once we were on, the excitement began. The first stop? The Pantry, where we indulged in a delicious lunch while soaking in the atmosphere and getting our bearings on the massive ship.
Exploring the Ship & Finding Our Favourites
From the moment we stepped foot on board, there was so much to see and do! Exploring the ship became an adventure in itself – and truth be told, three days wasn’t enough to see it all!
One thing that quickly became a team favourite was the incredible dining experiences. The variety of cuisines was astounding, but the Italian restaurant stole the show, becoming a top choice for many of our participants.
Non-Stop Fun & Unforgettable Moments
The days were packed with excitement, laughter, and a series of amazing highlights:
M stole the spotlight on the dance floor with his incredible rap moves, impressing everyone around!
R was our social butterfly, happily roaming the ship and chatting with everyone he met!
E set a new speed record for the waterslide, zipping down faster than anyone could believe!
A was the bravest of them all, taking on the daring zip line with pure excitement!
J became a ship-wide favourite, charming both participants and crew with his warm smile.
Bingo was a huge hit! Many of us attended twice, hoping for a big win – but alas, the bingo prize just wasn’t meant to be!
A Journey to Remember
From thrilling activities to relaxing ocean views, this cruise was a dream come true for everyone involved. It gave our participants the chance to experience something truly special, and the smiles, laughter, and joy shared onboard were priceless.
